How Primelase works
Pricing & what to expect
A patch test is required prior to your laser hair removal appointment. This is £25 and comes off the balance of your treatment when booking in. A £50 deposit is required to secure your appointment.
We recommend a minimum of 6 sessions to get the best results. Please note Primelase will not work on light or white hairs — there must be pigment (colour) in the hair for our diode laser to destroy the bulb (root of the hair) and the bulge (regrowth part of the hair follicle).

How does laser hair removal work?+
Primelase uses diode laser technology to deliver effective hair removal for all skin types, maximising results while protecting the health of your skin. The laser produces an intense light of a specific wavelength that selectively heats the pigment in the hair follicle while avoiding the surrounding skin. Over time, this heat permanently damages the structures of the hair follicle, producing a reduction in visible hair.
Is Primelase suitable for everyone?+
Primelase can be performed on all skin types and throughout the entire year, as it is safe on darker and even tanned skin. It is also very effective on residual hair — the thin remaining hair that many other laser treatments cannot remove. Almost anyone is a candidate, unless you have a condition or take medication that makes your skin sensitive to light. If you are pregnant, it is recommended not to perform laser hair removal as hormonal changes can trigger unwanted skin reactions.
Is the treatment painful?+
Treatment with Primelase should not be painful, although some clients may experience mild discomfort from the heat of the laser or from the cooling used to protect the skin's surface. Your provider checks in with you throughout the session and can adjust the parameters to ensure your comfort and the best results.
Is Primelase a permanent form of laser hair removal?+
Primelase progressively eliminates active follicles permanently (hair in the anagen growth phase) through successive sessions. At certain times, several factors — such as hormonal changes — can activate currently inactive follicles.
Can it be performed on all skin colours and tanned skin?+
Yes. Primelase is safe and effective for all skin types throughout the entire year, including on tanned skin.
